Ronald Kleyer
Artist Style:
Abstractionism
Ronald Kleier is an artist from the Netherlands, born in 1973 in the village of Nootdorp, near The Hague.
1993-1997 - Studied at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague at the Faculty of Drawing and Painting.
1994 - Ronald traveled around Uzbekistan for several months - got acquainted with the diverse architecture of the region, nature and, of course, with people. His impressions were so strong that the Central Asian theme that appeared in his student works is a leitmotif in his work to this day. After graduating from the academy in 1997, he made a decision that radically changed his life - moving to the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent.
The main source of inspiration was, and still is, primarily people and everything related to the life and work of an ordinary person.
Ancient cities, villages of Uzbekistan and Central Asia, Karakalpakstan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, these are the artist's travel routes. Muynak and the Aral Sea occupy a special place in his work. His first solo exhibition in 1999 was dedicated to Muynak.
Over the years of creative activity, Ronald has developed his own recognizable style.
The artist's paintings are concise and collected, and detailed images convey the ideas of the master with extraordinary accuracy.
Ronald regularly participates in charity events organized by the TWIG International Women's Club.
2017 - Personal exhibition "20 years later" was held at the State Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan.
October 2021 - Ronald was awarded the Amir Temur Medal for popularization and promotion of Uzbekistan in the international community.
2023 - Completed work on the unique project "1000 faces Friendship of Peoples". This is one of the most significant works in depth and imaginative presentation, which is of great value to the history of modern art in Uzbekistan, which the author has been working on for more than 10 years.
May 2023 - Personal anniversary exhibition was held at the Central Exhibition Hall of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, which became an important event in the cultural life of the capital.
