National artist of the USSR, Academician of the Academy of Arts of the USSR Ural Tansykbaev was born in 1904 in Tashkent. He studied at the art studio at the Turkestan Art Museum of Art (1924-1928) under N.V. Rozanov (a student of I. Repin), then at the Penza Art and Pedagogical School (1928-1929) in the class of S.I. Goryushkin - Sorokopudov (also a student of I. Repin). Ural Tansykbaev, of course, is one of the patriarchs of the national fine arts of Uzbekistan, a master of landscape painting. His work is widely known not only in Central Asia, but also abroad, represented in many museums and art galleries around the world, as well as in private collections. The legacy of the artist is undoubtedly one of the brightest phenomena of our time. He died in Nukus on April 18, 1974. Buried in Tashkent.
