Painter. He was born in 1923 in Omsk. Participant of the Great Patriotic War. In the post-war years, he lived and worked in Tashkent. He graduated from the Tashkent Art College. Periodically, until the age of 60, he was engaged in painting, but earned mainly by photography and retouching. In his work, he was a follower of classical realistic traditions. He raised his son, the famous, talented artist Anvar Bakhteyev. He died in Tashkent on May 3, 2005.
